Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was arrested Tuesday as the suspected driver in a hit-and-run that sent a young girl to the hospital with multiple injuries.

The 11-year-old girl was struck in the 2,000 block of 17th St SE near Longfellow School around 3 p.m. She suffered fractures in one of her thumbs and wrists and also sustained a head injury.

The vehicle was later located nearby and the suspected driver was arrested.

Police say 37-year-old Hussein Haaji is facing DUI and other charges.
