Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  A young Rochester girl was injured Saturday after being hit by a pickup truck while riding her bicycle through a busy northwest intersection.

Police say 10-year-old Nancy Ogak was with a friend at the time. They were at the intersection of 37th St and West River Parkway around 6 p.m., waiting for the light to change. Police say for some reason, Nancy rode her bike into the intersection before the light had changed and was struck by the vehicle. Police say the driver of the truck had the green light and was not ticketed.

Nancy was taken to St. Marys Hospital but a spokeswoman says she was not registered as a patient Monday morning.

A donation website has been created to benefit Nancy's family. It indicates she is being kept in a medically induced coma while doctors treat her severe injuries, which include multiple broken bones and internal bleeding.
