Young Minnesota Boy Pulled from Pool Has Died

SHOREWOOD, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a 9-year-old boy has died after being pulled from a swimming pool in suburban Minneapolis over the weekend.

The Hennepin County sheriff's office says the boy died Tuesday afternoon.

The boy was attending a pool party with about a dozen people attending in Shorewood when he was found unresponsive in the pool Sunday. Parents were present at the time.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office will release the boy's name and cause of death. The sheriff's office continues to investigate.
