Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  The National Weather Service says the fall of 2015 was one of the warmest on record for the Rochester area.  

The agency says the average temperature for the September - November period was 52 degrees, making it the 3rd warmest fall ever. The warmest was 54.6 degrees, set in 1931.

Temperatures were above normal in September, October and November.  

The average temperature for November was 39.3 degrees, which is 5.5 degrees above normal. Below normal daily temperatures were recorded on just 6 days during the month.

A little more than 3 inches of precipitation was recorded at the airport during November, which is almost 1.2 inches above normal.

The snowfall total was 2.3 inches, nearly 4 inches below normal.
