Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman has pleaded guilty to a felony vehicle theft charge and a gross misdemeanor count of drunk driving stemming from a chase and crash in August. 22-year-old Sophia Forsman was arrested after she lost control and crashed a stolen pickup truck in the Memorial Parkway neighborhood, north of Apache Mall, while trying to evade police.

The pursuit began when an officer spotted the truck in downtown Rochester around 1:30 in the morning on August 25th and ran a license plate check, which indicated the pickup had been stolen the previous day in Stewartville. Before the officer could make a traffic stop, Forsman took off at a high rate of speed and ended up rolling the pickup at the intersection of 8th Avenue and 11th Street Southwest.

She is scheduled to be sentenced November 30th.
