Wolves Lose N-B-A Exhibition To Chicago
Winnipeg, MT (Learfield Sports) -- Fans in Winnipeg were there to see reigning N-B-A Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins. He scored nine points in 24 minutes of play in the exhibition game, but the Timberwolves lost 114-105. Wiggins got the biggest ovation of the night.
Tyus Jones led the Wolves with 18 points. The 20-year-old Wiggins is a Canadian and that makes him a role model for amateur players north of the border.
Chicago bolted out to a 22-point lead and the Wolves never caught up, but they did cut the margin to just six points late in the fourth quarter. Minnesota plays the Toronto Raptors in Ottawa Wednesday.
