Winona, MN (Minnesota News Network) -  A man wanted for a robbery and murder in Winona has been arrested in central Wisconsin.

Winona Police said Friday morning that 23-year-old Lonnie Hudson awaits extradition in Marathon County, so he can return to face charges of second-degree murder, aggravated robbery, second-degree assault, and illegal firearm possession as a convicted felon.

Police say two men were about to rob 31-year-old Adam Fort last Sunday at an apartment, when the disturbance escalated and Fort was shot to death. Officials say the two men drove off with the help of 18-year-old Kayla Clay. She's been arrested near Ettrick in Trempealeau County on a possible charge of aiding an offender or accomplice. Clay also awaits extradition.

Police say a handgun that may have been used in the killing was found at an apartment in La Crosse.

The investigation continues and Winona Police now say they expect to make more arrests.
