Winona, MN (KROC AM News) - The Catholic Diocese of Winona has released the names of two more priests who were the subject of credible accusations of sexual abuse.

The diocese had previously identified 15 credibly accused priests, and church officials say the new disclosures are result of the diocese receiving new victim information. Father Harold Mountain died in 2006 while Father Thomas Duane died in 1993.

Duane was assigned to numerous parishes in southeastern Minnesota, including Claremont, Hayfield, Stewartville, Dodge Center, Kasson, LeRoy, Caledonia and St. Charles. Mountain’s parish assignment list included Stewartville and Hayfield.

The Anderson and Associates Law Firm, which has been pursuing clergy abuse lawsuits for decades, issued a statement saying the disclosure is a result of the settlement agreement with the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, along with the Diocese of Winona, that was announced last October.
