Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester City Council may finally be ready to take action on its proposed final version of a food truck ordinance.

The issue is on the Council’s Monday evening meeting agenda.

At its previous meeting, the council reached consensus on some remaining issues. Among the issues that still need to be decided are the designation of zones in the downtown where the trucks could operate, as well as their hours of operation.

The council also needs to decide how the licensing should be handled and the cost of the annual permit, which some have suggested should be $1500.

If the council approves a final version of the ordinance, it could take effect within a matter of days.
