Montreal, QUE (Learfield) -- The Minnesota Wild tied a franchise record for consecutive wins with their ninth victory in a row on Thursday night with a 4-2 win in Montreal.

Eric Staal scored the eventual game winner early in the third with his 17th career shorthanded goal and his fifth game winner of the season.  Jordan Schroeder, Jared Spurgeon and Jason Zucker also scored for Minnesota. Devan Dubnyk made 32 saves for his 17th win of the season.

Wild face the Rangers Friday night in New York.  Puck drops at 6 P-M from Madison Square Gardens.
