St Paul, MN (Minnesota News Network)  -  Several players for the Minnesota Wild stepped up their game to make up for the absence of Zach Parise in Saturday's 1-0 shutout of Tampa Bay.

Goaltender Devan Dubnyk made several clutch saves in a scoreless first period on the way to holding the Lightning scoreless. He also made three consecutive saves in the final five seconds as Tampa Bay launched a flurry of shots trying to tie the score. Jared Spurgeon's second goal of the season early in the second period was all the Wild needed for the win.

Minnesota's record improves to 8-3-2 with the next game coming up Tuesday at home against Winnipeg.
