Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Monday marks the 32nd observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.  Day. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of King’s assassination. 

We sat down with Rochester history professor Tom Ostrom and talked about the struggle involved in getting MLK Day recognized as a national holiday and in all 50 states. We also asked Tom to give some insight into the man who is being honored and remembered Monday.
