Thirty-five-year-old Shalonda Sioux Clark was killed in December 2013.  Prosecutors told the court Clark and 50-year-old Charles Jones were trying to keep warm at their home in Ponsford when Clark passed out.

They say Jones set a blanket on fire and threw it on top of her.  When neighbors checked on them, Jones reportedly told them he didn't know where Clark was.  Her remains were found in the ashes of the couch after the fire was put out.
