Minneapolis (Learfield News Service) - The University of Minnesota general counsel will join outside experts in conducting a forensic investigation into who leaked a memo about a sexual harassment case in the athletics department.

Associate athletics director of development Randy Handel was accused of sexual harassment.

Regents want to know who told television station KSTP. The station said it was a member of that board, but it got the information by agreeing to keep the source anonymous.

One regent says the leak could be construed as a misdemeanor violation of the Minnesota Data Practices Act.
