Wells Fargo customers need to check their online accounts as soon as possible and report any errors to customer service immediately. The company has said the issue is being addressed and should be fixed this morning.

A glitch in their online automatic bill pay system caused payments to be sent out twice. Customers have voiced their frustration about getting double charged on social media. According to several online reports customer service lines were jammed last night with many customers waiting on hold for over an hour to resolve the issue. The bank  acknowledged the problem by tweeting: "Some customers may be having an issue with their Bill Pay transactions. We are working to fix the issue and resolve this tonight. Thanks for your patience."

If you notice errors on your account you are asked to contact Wells Fargo's Online Customer Support. They're available 24 hours a day at 1800-956-4442
