The Minnesota Department of Corrections maintains a long list of “wanted fugitives,” and more than a few are from the Rochester area.

While some of the wanted fugitives are people who committed murders, sexual assaults and other violent offenses, many others are people who served time in prison and then failed to meet the terms of their supervised release, which is often granted to offenders nearing the end of their sentences. Essentially, they failed to finish serving their sentences and many will end up being ordered back into prison to complete their punishments.

The Corrections Department welcomes any assistance the public can provide in helping to locate these individuals. If you have any information or tips about the fugitives featured in the video or any other offender listed on the department’s website, please call the 24 hour tip line at 651-603-0026.

Citizens can also use the Crime Stoppers program to provide information through it’s website or by calling the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Officials say tips can also be sent in via SMS testing. That option is available by texting TIP674 and your message to CRIMES (274637).
