The NFL unveiled the 2016 schedule Thursday, putting the Packers and Vikings in prime time on Sunday night, Sept. 18. The rematch in Green Bay will be on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.

The Vikings will start on the road, playing at Tennessee on Sept. 11. They have a Monday night game, Oct. 3, at home against the New York Giants and one on the road, Oct. 31, at Chicago. The Vikings will also play on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, for the first time in 16 years when they visit Detroit. They'll host Dallas the following Thursday night, Dec. 1.

Public invited to walk through US Bank Stadium in July

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Members of the public will get a chance to peek inside the new home of the Minnesota Vikings before it opens up for events.

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority says an open house is planned at U.S. Bank Stadium on July 23 and July 24. Tickets are free, but they are not available yet.

Fans will have access to the new concourse, and they'll get to see the field, the new seats and some of the stadium's luxury amenities. Food vendors and family activities will also be on hand.

The open house is scheduled just a few weeks before the stadium begins hosting events. An International Cup soccer match will be the stadium's first athletic event on Aug. 3. Luke Bryan and Metallica concerts are planned later in August.
