University of Minnesota Regents Consider Major Non-Resident Tuition Increase
Minneapolis, MN (Learfield) -- University of Minnesota Regents are considering sizeable tuition hikes of $3,200 a year over the next four years for out-of-state students.
Non-residents would be paying 35-thousands by the school year ending in 2021, if approved. The issue would go to a vote in June at the earliest. That adjustment would put the tuition for nonresident students near the Big Ten average.
The tuition rate was deeply cut seven years ago to attract students from distant states.
