WATERTOWN, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say two teenagers have died and three other juveniles have been injured in a crash following a law enforcement pursuit in Jefferson County.

Authorities say a deputy stopped a car in the Town of Ixonia about 2 a.m. Wednesday. About 15 minutes later the driver fled from the traffic stop at a high rate of speed. Investigators say the driver lost control of the vehicle on a curve in Watertown and hit a tree.

The driver and front seat passenger were killed. The sheriff's office identifies the victims as Donovan Cagney and Bradley Chavez, both 17.

Three juvenile female passengers were injured and taken to area medical facilities. There's no word on their condition.

The State Patrol and state Division of Criminal Investigation are assisting with the investigation.
