Two Killed in Wisconsin Car/School Bus Crash
CUMBERLAND, Wis. (AP) — Two people are dead and 16 others were injured after a car and a high school volleyball team's bus collided in western Wisconsin.
WDIO-TV reports the crash happened north of Cumberland at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 63 and County Highway B in Barron County. The Wisconsin State Patrol says initial reports indicate a car didn't stop for the northbound bus of the Spooner High School volleyball team.
Two in the car were declared dead at the scene while a third occupant was airlifted to a hospital with critical injuries.
The school bus was sent into a ditch and was partially submerged in water. The coach, bus driver and students were treated for minor injuries and released.
