Arlington, TX (Learfield Sports)  -- Minnesota outfielder Eddie Rosario's ninth-inning RBI double pushed the Twins to a 4-3 victory over the Rangers in the series finale in Texas yesterday.

Minnesota avoided a three-game sweep and snapped a five-game skid. Brian Dozier hit a solo shot and Shane Robinson tripled twice in the win. The Twins tied a franchise record with four triples in the game.

Prized prospect Byron Buxton went 0-for-4, but scored the winning run in his MLB debut. Casey Fien improved to 2-and-2 in relief, with Glen Perkins locking down his 22nd save. Shawn Tolleson took the loss and fell to 1-and-1. Joey Gallo and Leonys Martin belted solo shots for Texas, which sits at 33-and-30.

Minnesota visits St. Louis tonight. The Cardinals were rained out yesterday. Tonight's game coverage begins at 6:30 with the pre-game, 7:10 first pitch on 1340 KROC AM.

Twins Make Roster Moves

Arlington, TX (Learfield Sports)  -- The Minnesota Twins called up top prospect Byron Buxton prior to yesterday's 4-3 win in Texas. The highly-touted minor leaguer made his Major League debut and went 0-for-4, but did score the go-ahead run. The Twins placed outfielder Aaron Hicks on the 15-day Disabled List with a right forearm strain.
