Twins Lose, Streak Hits 13
Cleveland, OH (Learfield) -- Cleveland right-hander Corey Kluber (KLOO-ber) stuck out 11 batters over eight innings as the Indians beat the Twins last night in Cleveland, 8-4.
Kluber gave up three runs and improved to 15-and-8 on the year. Carlos Santana and Roberto Perez each went long for the Tribe. Jose Ramirez added a two-run double as the Indians completed the three-game sweep. Max Kepler and Brian Dozier homered for the Twins, who fell to 49-and-84.
Pat Dean gave up seven hits and six runs in the loss. Minnesota has dropped 13 straight games and hosts the Chicago Whites Sox for game one of a four-game series tonight. Ervin Santana will start tonight for the Twins, Jose Quintana for the Sox.
