The right-hander looks to win a career-high seventh straight decision as the visiting Twins try to keep the surging Toronto Blue Jays from moving past them in the wild-card chase Tuesday night. Minnesota has dropped 11 of its last 15 to fall into a virtual tie with Toronto for the second wild-card spot.

The Twins have scored six runs in the last four games overall and nine while dropping five of six on the road. Hughes is 10-and-6 this season with a 4.11 earned run average. He faces Toronto's Marco Estrada, who is 8-and-6 on the year, with a 3.53 E-R-A. He's struggled against Minnesota, going 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA in four career starts.

The Jays beat the Twins 5-1 yesterday in Canada. Tonight's first pitch is 6:07 P-M. Pre-game coverage begins at 5:30 on 1340 KROC AM.
