Oronoco, MN (KROC AM News) - For the second time this week, a MnDOT snowplow was involved in an accident in SE Minnesota.

The latest happened Thursday morning on northbound Highway 52 near Oronoco as it was snowing.

MnDOT says the plow was hit from behind by a semi-truck and both vehicles crashed. No injuries were reported.

An Iowa man was killed after the car he was riding in collided with a MnDOT snowplow in Wabasha Tuesday evening. The Chicago man driving the car turned in front of the plow as it was southbound on Highway 61 at the Highway 60 intersection. The driver was seriously hurt. The plow was driven by 40-year old Jason Vanputten of Rochester, who was not hurt.

Road conditions are deteriorating across much of Minnesota as a winter storm slowly moves across the state. Several inches are expected by this evening. 

Visibility was even poor in downtown Rochester Thursday morning.
