Train Hits Truck at Nelson, Wisconsin
Nelson, WI (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation was forced to close Highway 60 between Wabasha and Nelson, Wisconsin for about an hour Wednesday night after a train hit a semi-truck.
The wreck happened around 6:30 p.m. on the tracks on the south side of Nelson. No word if there were any injuries.
Meanwhile, Rochester police are trying to find a vehicle that struck a light pole and three residential mailboxes early Thursday.
It happened around 2:30 in the 1800 block of Northern Heights Drive NE. A police spokesman says the light pole ended up in the street.
The driver fled before witnesses could provide a description of the vehicle.
