Alabama and Minnesota were both ranked in the top 25 in the nation when they battled it out on Saturday in the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn. It was an ordinary game, with the Gophers leading, when a scuffle broke out. After everything was settled down and the proper ejections were made, the Crimson Tide were down to just five players.

Yes, their entire bench got ejected.

To make matters worse, one of the Alabama players fouled out of the game, meaning Alabama was down to just FOUR players left! Could it get any worse? The answer is yes, it could.

Another Alabama team member then injured his ankle and was done for the game. That gave the Crimson Tide only one option, play with three players.

That is what Alabama did for the final 10 minutes or so. They tried to compete with the Gophers, who were ranked in the top 15 in the country, with just three players. They did a phenomenal job, too. Alabama actually outscored the Gophers while playing with just three players compared to the Gophers five.

It was just a weird situation that pretty much nobody has ever seen before. I do not blame the Gophers for getting out scored, but it was a nail biter to watch, as the Gophers were up 13 at the time it happened, but the next thing you know the squad is only up 5! Yeah, the Gophers probably didn't prepare to guard just three guys, but you have to give Alabama credit. It was an amazing performance.

It was just the strangest thing you have ever seen. Yes, the Gophers got the win, but the finish was far from normal.
