Minneapolis, MN (Learfield sports)  --  Masahiro Tanaka held the Twins to seven hits and a run in eight innings as the New York Yankees took an 8-2 decision Friday night.

Carlos Beltran hit a two-run home run.  Pat Dean gave up four runs in the first and absorbed his third loss in four decisions for the Twins.  Eduardo Escobar was the only Minnesota hitter who could solve Tanaka.  He went three-for-four with a homer and a double, driving in both of his team's runs.
