St. Paul, MN (Minnesota News Network)  --  The Minnesota Department of Health says it is working with federal and other state agencies in an investigation of salmonella tied to contaminated cucumbers.

There are 12 cases in Minnesota, with 10 linked to cucumbers served at five restaurants in the Red Lobster chain.  The produce was grown in Baja California.  Minnesota victims range in age from eight to 79 and six of those sickened are still in hospitals, recovering.

The state says people shouldn't eat the cucumbers which have been recalled by Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce.
