The daily number of Minnesotans applying for unemployment insurance has been on the decline since Friday, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Minnesota’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was steady at 3.7-percent last month even though the state saw a net gain of about 11,800 jobs in February.
Even though employers cut 5200 jobs last month, Minnesota’s unemployment rate fell a tenth of a point from November to 3.6 percent - the lowest monthly rate for the state since April 2001.
The December rate was a full point lower than in the same month a year earlier
