Rochester,  MN (KROC-AM News) - A man wanted on vehicle theft charges who led Rochester Police on a brief chase Monday night was transported to St. Marys Hospital this morning to be treated for a suspected drug overdose.

A spokesman for the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department says authorities obtained a search warrant for a property located between Rochester and Chester and found 26-year-old Jacob Bothun unresponsive in a pole shed at 5225 Highway 14 East. The deputies administered Narcan to reverse the overdose and performed other life saving measures to Bothun. His medical condition is not yet known.

Bothun is named on arrest warrants issued by authorities in Olmsted and Wabasha Counties and was spotted last night on North Broadway in Rochester driving a pickup truck. A police officer attempted to stop the Eyota man but broke off the chase when he sped through a residential neighborhood. The pickup was found this morning behind Bothun’s parents’ home in Eyota, but he had already left.
