The superintendent will be stopping by the KROC-AM studio Wednesday morning for his regular appearance on the Rochester Today show.

Michael Munoz will join Andy Brownell from 10 to 11 a.m. to discuss recent happenings in the Rochester School District. There will be a lot to talk about, particularly concerning the School Board's discussions concerning a plan operating levy referendum this fall. The elected officials are working to decide how much of a tax increase to request when they put a proposal before school district voters in November.

The school district was facing a projected deficit of around $9 million for the next school year when the school board voted to pursue an operating levy increase, but the K-12 education bill approved during the special session of the state legislature boosted school funding enough to trim the expected shortfall to less than $4 million.

Tune in 1340 KROC-AM at 10 a.m. Wednesday to listen and call 507-282-1234 to join the conversation.
