Byron, MN (KROC AM News) - Recent vandalism at the Byron High School was caused by several of its students.

That’s according to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office.

Capt Scott Behrns says investigators interviewed twelve students and have enough evidence at this point to recommend criminal charges against ten of them. Behrns says seven of them have confessed to taking part in the vandalism.

The vandals spray painted and threw eggs at the exterior of the building. Behrns says the most expensive damage involved an electronic sign at the school’s entrance.

Behrns says the overall damage total is not yet known but it will be high enough to justify felony charges against those involved.
