Storms, Rain Miss Rochester Area
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The line of storm cells that hit the Twin Cities and other areas of Minnesota Sunday morning just brushed southeast Minnesota before moving into Wisconsin.
Rainfall totals from Rochester were generally between a tenth and a quarter inch. Northern areas of Olmsted County reported between half an inch and an inch while Plainview received more than an inch and a half. The Rochester airport recorded just one-hundredth of an inch.
Up to an inch of rain could fall this week.
It was also a very warm weekend. Rochester’s high of 96 on Sunday set a record and it was the warmest reading for the city since May 14, 2013. It was also very warm Saturday. The high was 94, missing the record by 2 degrees.
It is expected to remain warm all week.
