Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The storm system that visited southern Minnesota Thursday didn't produce the torrential rains that forecasters were predicting, but it did result in an all day soaker that produced some impressive rainfall totals in southeastern Minnesota.

The National Weather Service says the official rainfall total for Rochester, which is recorded at the city’s airport, was 1.37 inches, but there were areas of Rochester that saw about 2 inches of rain Thursday and early Friday. Most areas in southeastern Minnesota saw at least an inch of rain from the storm system, while Viola reported the highest rainfall total at 2.1 inches.
