RAMSEY, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert after finding a 15-month-old girl who was taken from a Ramsey daycare center by her mother.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said the alert was canceled Thursday evening.

According to the Anoka County sheriff's office, the suspect's vehicle was stopped by the Minnesota State Patrol on southbound Interstate 35W at Stinson Boulevard. A citizen had reported spotting the vehicle to law enforcement.

The sheriff's office says the child appears unharmed but will be taken to a hospital for an evaluation. The mother will remain in police custody.

Earlier, authorities said they believed the girl and mother were in danger. The 30-year-old woman had recently lost custody of the girl and had been threatening to take her own life and harm others.
