Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection is now accepting applications for a judgeship in southeastern Minnesota.

Houston County Judge James Fabian is retiring after 16 years on the bench. He was appointed by Governor Jesse Ventura in 1999 after spending a decade as the Houston County Attorney.

The application deadline is April 13th. The commission will be conducting interviews in early May before selecting finalists for the position to be considered by Governor Mark Dayton.
