Rochester,MN (KROC AM News) - An Austin man has been sentenced to five years on probation for his conviction on a terroristic threats charge stemming from a lengthy standoff in Stewartville last October.

30-year-old Coniah Horton was arrested about five hours after Olmsted County deputies responded to an apartment building on Main Street in Stewartville. They were called to the scene by a woman who reported he had threatened her and her children. The incident resulted in a major disruption for many Stewartville residents and prompted a lockdown of all of the schools in the community.

In addition to the probationary sentence, Horton was also given a stayed 3-year prison term and was ordered to perform 100 hours of community work service.
