Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) -- A Technology Integration Specialists for the St. Francis of Assisi School in the Rochester Catholic Schools system has been named the Teacher of the Year by the Mayo Foundation Sigma Xi Chapter in Rochester.

The organization, which aims to advance science and engineering, is honoring Pam Bagniewski with a $500 donation to the regional science fair in her honor and a $300 donation to a project of her choosing at St. Francis of Assisi School. The award was announced at the group’s annual meeting last week.

The Mayo Foundation Chapter of Sigma Xi presents teacher of the year awards annually to a teacher who has demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm, creativity, and excellence in teaching and promoting science and technology.
