A fast moving weather system is affecting southeast Minnesota this morning and it has produced a quick snow burst in some areas.

The National Weather Service says the heaviest snow will fall from the St. Charles area to La Crosse with up to 2 inches possible.

The snow is expected to end by mid-morning.  It will impact the morning commute across the region.

Road crews were activated early today but driving conditions may be slick.
