MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minneapolis police say a second victim has died from a shooting in south Minneapolis.

Police say a 23-year-old woman who was critically wounded in the shooting died late Monday evening at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Authorities say the woman was shot along with a 39-year-old man as they sat in a parked car. The man also died.

Officers on patrol in the city's third precinct heard a series of gunshots and found the couple in the car about 2 a.m. Monday.

Police spokesman John Elder tells the Star Tribune that there's "no indication" the shooting was random.

Authorities say a suspect had fled the scene by the time officers arrived.

The victims' names haven't been released.
