Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A 33-year-old Rochester man has been sentenced to 5 years on probation for a conviction stemming from a so-called “scrapping” incident a year ago.

Eric Hoerner, who entered a guilty plea to a felony burglary charge in April, was also given a stayed 30-month prison sentence and was ordered to perform 100 hours of community work service.

After police caught him removing copper pipes and other items from former CJ’s Lounge Building in downtown, Rochester Hoerner tried to claim he had the property owner’s permission but a quick check by police determined that was not the case.
