RPD says three stabbed in big brawl

Rochester police investigators were busy over the weekend looking into what is being described as a large melee

that broke out early Saturday at an apartment complex located near the RCTC campus.  Officers were called to a complex known as The Edge located at 851 21st Avenue southeast around 1:30 and found three stabbing victims.  The three males - ages 17, 19  and 20 - were taken to St. Mary’s where two underwent surgery.  Police later arrested two male suspects, who may be charged today.  They have been identified as 21 year old Mohamed Mohamud June and 20 year old Mohamed Abdifatah Ahmed.

A police spokesman says there was a large party at the complex and the brawl broke out when some unwanted guests showed up.  The melee involved between 30 and 40 people who were fighting inside and outside the building.
