This Saturday (October 3rd) is another “Cans For Kids” Collection Day at the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester. All proceeds raised from this recycling event will directly support families with ill children, who call the Ronald McDonald House a “home away from home” while seeking medical care at the Mayo Clinic.

A McNeilus truck will be in the parking lot of the Ronald McDonald House (850 2nd St SW) accepting aluminum cans and pop tabs from 8am until noon.

Aluminum recycling has helped to support the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester for over 15 years. Cans for Kids partners with the Pop Tab Program to raise awareness and funds for the Ronald McDonald House. Cans for Kids collection events have raised over $16,000. In addition to supporting the House and its guests, all aluminum donations are recycled locally – diverting cans from Rochester landfills and contributing to a greener community.
