Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who spearheaded an unsuccessful effort to open a Minnesota Veterans and Emergency Services Museum has died.

Tom Hosier died Wednesday at Seasons Hospice. He was 73.

Hosier’s son Scott launched the local World War 2 History Roundtable in 2004. Hosier took over and named it the Scott Hosier World War 2 Roundtable following the death of his son. It has since morphed into the Scott Hosier Veterans Roundtable to include other wars. At the beginning, dozens of people would attend the meetings. Now, attendance is in the hundreds.

Hosier’s funeral is being handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home in Rochester.
