Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) -  The annual Rochesterfest treasure hunt is underway.

This year’s treasure is a gold medallion, hidden somewhere in the city of Rochester, on public property but not on a golf course or cemetery, and never on private property that might appear open to the public.

This year’s prize is $1,000.  A new clue will be given each day until the treasure has been found.  This year’s hunt features shorter clues, a treasure that is “buried” deeper than in past years and a much larger prize.

Here is the first clue:

The Fest in Fifteen and this first clue not stark.

To new heights we will climb as I motivate many.

Let’s be frank and admit that you want every penny.

Do not wreck the view as you evaluate banter.

Stick to the middle but clear of the center.

There will be two bonus clues that seekers may pick up - one on Saturday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Trade Mart, and one on Monday, June 22 at 11:00 a.m. at either Whistle Binkies Pubs.
