Rochester Woman Who Caused Crash Charged with Marijuana DUI
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman is accused of being under the influence of marijuana when she caused a serious traffic wreck earlier this year.
The wreck happened in April at the intersection of Highway 30 and Olmsted County 8 near the Rochester airport.
The criminal complaint against 25-year-old Sharada Yanambaka indicates she ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with another vehicle. Yanambaka was treated for serious injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was 68-year-old Barbara Sauter of Hayfield, who was listed in critical condition when first admitted to St Marys Hospital.
The complaint says a blood test revealed Yanambaka had marijuana in her system.
She has been ordered to make her first court appearance Nov 29th.
