Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman suffered critical injuries early Monday after being run over by a pickup truck.

Rochester Police Capt. John Sherwin says the truck was driven by a man who is believed to be the woman’s boyfriend or husband.

The preliminary report indicates the two were looking for their cat around 5:30 AM in an alley on the west side of North Broadway, near the McDonald’s restaurant. It appears the man was driving the truck while the woman was on foot. She was apparently on her hands and knees looking under a boat when she was run over and dragged an unknown distance. Sherwin says she suffered severe injuries to her head and upper body.

No names have been released yet.
