Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The latest statistics show the Rochester area saw a slight decrease in its unemployment rate last month, but that was because the jobless rate for April was revised upward by a tenth of a point.

The 3.1-percent rate for Olmsted County in May remained the lowest in the region and was 2-tenths of a point below the unemployment rate from May of last year.

Fillmore County saw the largest drop in its unemployment rate last month, sliding 6-tenths of a point from April, but it’s jobless rate was tied with Freeborn County as the highest in the region at 3.7-percent.
