Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester teenager was shot at Sunday in a residential neighborhood near the RCTC campus.

Police received calls about the shooting from the 800 block of 21st Ave. S.E. around 5:15 p.m.

Officers sent to the scene were told by the 19-year-old man that a passenger in a green car that drove past him as he was standing next to his vehicle fired one round. The teen says he dropped to the ground and wasn’t hurt. It’s not known if the round hit anything but a shell casing was found at the scene.

The teenager told police the driver of the car the shot was fired from had yelled at him just before the shooting about an earlier confrontation. The teen said he wasn’t sure what the man was talking about.
