Rochester Teen Admits Role in Expensive Purse Snatch
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the three young Rochester people charged in an expensive purse snatch at Apache Mall earlier this year has pleaded guilty to a simple robbery charge and will be sentenced in August.
Court records indicate 18 year old Abdirisak Aden Affey was the driver of the getaway vehicle.
Police say a 52 year old woman was leaving the shopping center the evening of March 18th when a man pushed her to the ground, grabbed her purse and ran.The woman told police the purse contained jewelry and watches valued at $14,000. It also contained $1,000 in cash.
The cases against the two suspects are pending.
